Aaron Carter (1987–2022) was an American singer, performer, and pop-culture phenomenon whose career began in childhood. Known for hits including I Want Candy and Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), Aaron captured the hearts of a generation with his energy, charisma, and unmistakable personality.
From his early performances to his years in the public spotlight, Aaron built a devoted international fan community. His musical legacy and the connection he shared with his fans continue to live on.
On November 5, 2022, I was listening to the radio with Cupid when I heard the devastating news that Aaron Carter had died. Something about his death immediately troubled me, and I began asking questions and sharing my concerns on social media.
My early TikTok discussions attracted tens of thousands of views. Before long, I connected with a community of approximately seven hundred Aaron Carter fans. Nearly every evening, we came together online to exchange information, examine timelines, and document questions surrounding his death. My living room became an investigation space, filled with research boards, notes, and connections we were trying to understand.
Over the next three years, this became far more than a social media discussion. I remained in close contact with Aaron’s fans, documenting our findings, sharing our perspectives, and pursuing answers. My content reached an enormous audience, and I experienced account restrictions and the eventual loss of my TikTok account. I believed our work deserved to be preserved regardless of what happened on social media.
I also pursued contact with federal authorities concerning information I had gathered. Throughout the process, I remained committed to giving Aaron’s fans a place to share their voices and concerns.
That commitment became the foundation of my Aaron Carter documentary collection, beginning with War of Angels and continuing through The Aftermath: Oh No! Aaron.
I chose to publish these books because I wanted a permanent, physical record of the information, questions, experiences, and perspectives gathered throughout our research. Social media accounts can disappear, but printed books can be preserved, read, and examined for generations.
This collection is my account of a three-year journey with Aaron Carter’s fans—and my effort to ensure their voices and questions are not forgotten.
The community of approximately seven hundred dedicated fans I worked with eventually became known to me as Aaron’s Angels.
Their contributions were invaluable. Throughout our three-year journey, fans shared information, observations, personal experiences, and research that helped us document the questions surrounding Aaron’s death. I also maintained an active tip line where information could be submitted and reviewed.
During this period, I worked with individuals I understood to be involved in law enforcement, including an undercover Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department detective, who later passed away, a narcotics investigator, and federal FBI agents. These interactions became part of my personal account of the investigation and the material I documented.
My original TikTok account was permanently banned during my work documenting Aaron Carter’s death. That marked the beginning of what I experienced as ongoing censorship and restrictions surrounding my documentary work.
I no longer maintain a TikTok account, and I have publicly expressed my concerns about restrictions on my Facebook account. I do not recommend using Facebook to follow my work, as I do not consider it a reliable place for my updates.
My only active public social media and publishing platforms are YouTube, X (formerly Twitter), and Substack.
Although I continue to experience restrictions on those platforms, I am still able to publish updates and share information through them.
